Mariia Annenkova, a London-based interdisciplinary artist, has carved a unique niche in the art world through her captivating works that delve into painting, performance, and new media. Her artistic journey is a testament to her commitment to exploring the intricacies of intraspecies connectivity and the interplay between nature and culture on a global scale.
At the heart of Annenkova's creative process lies a collaborative approach, rooted in the active reshaping of ecological and ethical paradigms. By facilitating respectful communication and cooperation between humans and animals, she crafts a co-constitutive cultural environment that redefines our relationship with the natural world.

An advocate for eco-consciousness, Mariia doubles as an art tutor, leading workshops aimed at nurturing empathy and mindfulness among children towards coexisting with wildlife in the bustling urban landscape of London. Her dedication to educating the younger generation has seen her orchestrate workshops for Unity Hub Ukraine in 2022, engage as an arts and crafts workshop leader for children aged 5 to 15, and mentor Y12 sixth form students in Lewisham from 2021 to 2022.

Mariia's artistic journey has been underpinned by a solid educational foundation. She earned her BA in Fine Arts from Goldsmiths University with First Class Honours (2019-2022), and earlier, completed a Foundation Diploma in Art and Design at the British Higher School of Art and Design, Moscow, achieving distinction in the Level 3 Foundation Diploma (2016-2017). Notably, she embarked on a journey of learning and creative exploration at the Moscow State Academic Surikov Art Institute, earning her BA in Painting (2016-2019).

Mariia Annenkova's influence extends beyond solo exhibitions, as she's been an integral part of selected group shows that celebrate her artistic vision. Noteworthy appearances include the "Molasses Vases" curated by GRAVEL and co-curated with Jinia Tasnin at Hartslane Gallery, London (2023), "Your Heart to a Dog to Tear" curated by Pang! Projects at Take Courage Gallery, London (2022), and her participation in the BA Fine Art Goldsmiths Degree Show in London (2022). Her international footprint is evident through exhibitions such as the "Summer Show" at LiTE-HAUS Galerie, Berlin, Germany (2021), and "THE PROCESS. THE NEW ACADEMY" at Winzavod Gallery, Moscow (2019).

Intriguing, thought-provoking, and bridging the gap between humanity and the natural world, Mariia Annenkova's artistic journey continues to captivate, inspire, and redefine our perceptions of art's potential. Her innovative approach, collaborative ethos, and unyielding dedication to eco-consciousness establish her as a true visionary in the realm of contemporary art.
