Surfing through what today's electronic music may offer, it is pretty hard to find something catchy and interesting. Most of the DJs offer cover versions of the hits popular in the 90s, making it less attractive for the audience over 30. However, there are some exciting characters whose music is worth your attention.
Techno, noise, and glitch are no longer a novelty, but they gave us the understanding that electronic melodies can be much more complicated, even if they seem easy to produce. Alva Noto, Coh, and many other Glitch musicians inspired younger generations of DJs who wanted to be spotlighted in the industry.
Russian-born DJ Konstantin Kirpichnikov aka twin // kosty is an outstanding member of the electronic music community. His sample inventory can seem a bit simple due to his love to use typical sounds from the 90s MIDI synthesizers. His career started when he was 19. Then he started his path by performing at small electronic events, eventually leading him to big festivals like the Nike stage during Faces & Laces festival in 2018 in Moscow.
Moving to the Netherlands to study sound design gave Kirpichnikov's sound a new twist. The DJ spent a lot of time studying European electronic tendencies. The musician once mentioned that going to the USA as an exchange student became an eye-opening experience. This trip became an opportunity to see how the best DJs work in their studios and find their inspirations before significant events. All of it helped to Kirpichnikov his unique style.

These days the DJ is permanently living in London, where he constantly masters his style. Kirpichnikov's music can be defined as an elegant fusion of Jungle, Techno, and Glitch. The musician playfully mixes them into long, complicated sets that envelope the crowd. His music creates a vibe that makes the whole space solid.
