The Luzhnetskaya Embankment renovation, conceived by architect Veronika Manskaia, features a modular structure composed of industrially standard units. These units discreetly accommodate diverse storage and recreational functions required by Embankment visitors. The facade solutions exhibit a variety of designs: bent metal plates, mirroring the natural curves of water surfaces, create a serene and reflective environment, reminiscent of nature. Another variation of this concept involves the usage of straight thin white metal plates, which create a curved shape via differences in length and curved-cut edges. These designs efficiently integrate standardized core constructions of the units within an uneven natural shape. An alternative facade design employs straight-patterned perforated metal sheets with opening panels, akin to mysterious lanterns illuminating the night.
