Daria strives to rediscover the forgotten but still charming historical style through her artwork. She uses a time-consuming, multi-layered watercolour technique with which she creates incredibly realistic images of plants. The stories are impeccably accurate from a botanical point of view. It is important to note that the artist is constantly studying the methods and nuances of the watercolour artists of past centuries, their compositional and stylistic techniques, in order to combine the atmosphere and aesthetics of the old days with contemporary approaches to creating botanical subjects through the prism of her own vision.
Daria's artworks regularly participate in Russian and international exhibitions of botanical art, including those in San Francisco, London and Moscow. Daria is also a member of the English and Russian botanical art communities, but she does not rest on her laurels, but continually improves her skills.
It is impossible to take no notice of Daria's botanical subjects. Her works, inspired by the traditions of English gardens, often depict specific garden plants. Through her exquisite mastery, the artist delicately draws her viewers as far away as possible from the coarse, heartless world of total industrialisation into the delicate ancient age of garden art and Dutch still lifes. Daria finds delicate compositional solutions, depicting plants with deep respect for their naturalness and unpredictability.
